Is 90 Day Fiance Star Yara Zaya Really Becoming More Popular?

90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? Season 7 premieres on August 28 and Yara Zaya returns with her husband, Jovi Dufren. At one stage, she was very unpopular with TLC fans. But in 2022 she seems to have found more fans. But, is she finally finding a lot of people to gush over her? Read on to find out.

90 Day Fiance Happily Ever After Season 7 Brings Yara Zaya Back

Few people seemed to like Yara when they first met her on the show. Most people felt that she was just another fine example of someone from Ukraine wanting a green card. Even after Jovi’s mom finally agreed that she changed her mind about that, fans still slammed her. However, she ignored a lot of haters and shared each step of her new life in the USA, including getting her driver’s license.

90 Day Fiance critics slammed Yara for almost everything. In fact, the one time that she became very upset was when fans actually crashed her bubble about her cosmetic line, Boujee by Yara. Fans slammed her because they were not all organic and vegan as claimed. But, her popularity suddenly rocketed earlier this year. Why is that? Well, it came after she wished she could do more for the people of Ukraine after the war broke out.

90 Day Fiance Fans Increase For Yara – Popularity Drops?

Happily Ever After? does not thrill too many people because the show also brings back Big Ed Brown. Then, there’s Kim and Usman, and Michael and Angela. Fans do not seem to mind Jenny and Sumit too much, but are they excited about Yara and Jovi? When she shared about the premiere on her Instagram on August 19, a lot of people sounded thrilled.

Like all of the 90 Day Fiance fiance stars, some people trolled on her, but not the way they used to. So, you might think that her popularity rises. But, is that really the case? Back in early 2021, Redditors discussed that they suspected 81 percent of her followers were fake. That’s not the case now though.

Modash Fake Follower Check

As you can see she now has only 14.86 percent fake followers. But, her number of genuine followers has increased. As you can see above, her following climbed since the Ukrainian war started.

More Followers But Fewer Likes

The 90 Day Fiance star rose dramatically in likes when the war started. But since, then, it crashed and burned through April and May.  With the news that she returns to Happily Ever After, she did score a slight upward trend on likes. Additionally, just because she got more followers doesn’t mean massive engagement. At the moment, she sits on 2.4 percent. Back in 2019, the average engagement on the site was sitting at  4.7 percent.

What are your thoughts? Do you agree that more followers for Yara Zaya doesn’t necessarily mean more popularity? Sound off in the comments below.
