Sister Wives: Why Are The Brown Family Kids Not Living A Polygamous Life?

Sister Wives spoilers and updates tease that none of the 18 children of the Brown family is interested in polygamy. The show has been around for 10 years. Kody and his four wives, Meri Brown, Christine Brown, Janelle Brown, and Robyn Brown have been advocating for a polygamist lifestyle to their viewers. However, none of their children seem to be interested in following in their parents’ footsteps. The question now is why.

Kody’s Wives Explain Why Their Kids Don’t Want A Plural Marriage

Kody’s wives talked about their children and explained why they’re not interested in a polygamist lifestyle in an interview with Entertainment Weekly earlier this year.

Meri, who only has one child, Mariah Brown, said she wasn’t surprised to learn that her 26-year-old daughter doesn’t want to be a polygamist. She said this proves that they’re not forcing their family to do anything. Janelle’s 25-year-old daughter echoed a similar sentiment. She loves how she grew up but she’s not into plural marriages either. Janelle sees a similar pattern with the rest of her kids.

As for Robyn’s children, she said her kids aren’t considering any of those things as of the moment. But she made it clear that she wants her kids to “find their own path” and “live their fullest life.” With Christine, her six children “aren’t open to plural” at all.

Robyn Brown Still Has Hope

Although Robyn revealed that her children aren’t into a polygamist lifestyle right now, she’s not counting it out either. She still thinks there’s a possibility that they may find themselves having a plural marriage since it’s not something that they can decide on right away.

“[It’s] something you grow into and decide with your spouse,” she explained.

Kody Weighs In On The Issue

Kody says that their children aren’t into polygamy because they don’t meddle with their love life. He also claimed that he doesn’t want his kids to be into plural marriages. He’s been defending polygamy for years but he previously claimed that it seems like he’s can’t advocate for this principle any longer. He felt as though the practice has created a sense of unfairness in their relationship. But some fans don’t believe a word of it.

Fans Think They Know The Reason

Although it’s possible that the children of the Brown family aren’t considering plural marriages because their parents aren’t pursuing the idea aggressively. But fans think that the kids have seen the dysfunction that their family dynamics have brought on.
