The “Little People, Big World” stars spent the latest episode of their TLC reality show trying to sort out their dilemma about their living situation.
They are considering moving into the Roloff farm and taking over the family business.
Zach and Tori Roloff Ask Their Kids about Life in the Farm
The topic came up in conversation this week because of an installment filmed a couple of months ago as the property’s famous pumpkin season was coming to an end.
“What was your favorite part of pumpkin season?” Tori asked her 4-year-old son Jackson. Jackson happily replied: “Teeter! Teeter’s my friend.”
As to who or what Teeter is exactly, the mom-of-two explained to the cameras, “Teeter is Jackson’s pet chicken.” She also added that Jackson calls all five of their chickens by the same name.
Tori then quizzed her son again, this time asking him what he likes to do on the farm.
“I feed chickens, then a goat. Chickens then goat! Then put chickens back in the coop,” he replied.
In a later part, Tori and Zach discussed how well pumpkin season went in 2020, even though there were COVID-related guidelines that were implemented.
“I don’t want to make pumpkin season too big,” Zach said on air, before he criticized his dad for his expansion ideas for the farm. “He had some ideas at the very end that I’m like ‘hold on here.’ He wants to do this big expansion but if you expand you can never go back.”
Zach’s father, Matt Roloff, is now the sole owner of the farm. He bought out his ex-wife about a year ago, and he recently said he’s got no plans to retire any time soon.
He will one day step down, and Zach has announced his interest to take over the farm. But he will need to convince Tori Roloff first.
Tori Roloff Shows Her Unwillingness to Relocate to the Farm
“I think that Zach has really stepped up to the plate this year, I think that he’s taken more of an interest in pumpkin season, the farm – everything,” Tori told the cameras on Tuesday night.
“There’s moments that Zach definitely could have done more but it’s hard when Matt is very controlling of pumpkin season and what happens during pumpkin season,” she continued. “But I think Zach needs to learn how to interject himself into pumpkin season and Matt needs to learn how to ask Zach to come help with pumpkin season.”
She then added that both father and son need “to find a balance between the two of them.”
As for Tori’s opinion on relocating to the farm, she seems to be on the fence about it.
“Are you over moving to the farm after pumpkin season or are you still into it?” Tori asked Zach on the show’s Tuesday episode, with no response from him.
“I mean our house is very nice, I really like our house,” she added.
The episode ended with no definite conclusion on the matter. But so far, months after filming wrapped on the show’s season 22, the family is yet to relocate.
