Dr. Will Kirby has posted a boomerang video showing off his Big Brother Veto Necklace while using some lyrics from the theme song of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?” as a caption. He wrote: “It’s a beautiful day in this neighborhood / A beautiful day for a neighbor / Would you be mine? / Could you be mine?”
He was branded as the most well-respect “Big Brother” winner in history after he won in season 2 when the show completely transformed its format. Unlike its worldwide editions which use public votes to determine who gets to stay in the house, this American show set survival rules to follow where contestants themselves decide who to evict via votation.
Returning To The Show
The aesthetic dermatology expert first hosted the Jury Roundtables in Season 15 where the jury members have to deliberate on which of the housemates they hope to win as the final top three. This has continued for years until last year’s season 22 on “Big Brother: All-Stars” due to the COVID-19 restrictions on filming.
The show had opted to bring him back in a unique way and so he played as the “neighbor” of the house. But some fans were still disappointed because Dr. Kirby did not have direct interaction with the houseguests as his segments were pre-recorded all due to health protocols posed by the pandemic.
Will the show correct their wrong in the upcoming season with Dr. Kirby’s return?
Speaking to Us Weekly in 2020, Dr.Kirby explained why he can’t return as a full-time houseguest. “Well, while placing no judgement on people who are playing this season, I personally didn’t feel like I could leave my family or take an absence from my career obligations right now.”
“Disappearing for three months wasn’t something that made sense to me personally. But I of course wanted to be involved in this season in some capacity and this role seemed like a great fit!” he added
The cast for BB 23 is still kept under the rug but numerous fans hope Dr. Kirby will return. Julie Chen Moonves is revealed to still be the host and the show remains to air every Wednesday and Sunday nights at 8 pm and the live evictions every Thursday at 8 pm.
A press release reads: “Houseguests are in for a high-stakes summer full of Big Risks and Big Rewards, where one wrong gamble could cost them everything.”
