Whitney Way Thore’s World Mental Health Day Posts
Whitney took to social media on World Mental Health Day to explain the struggles that she has gone through this year. She wrote, “Hey y’all. It’s World Mental Health Day and I just want to remind you that if you’re struggling, you’re not alone. I was diagnosed with depression at 18 and have been dealing with it for more than 20 years. I’ve also been diagnosed with atypical anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and generalized anxiety disorder.”
Whitney Way Thore went on to say, “2020 has been chaotic, terrifying, divisive, and disheartening. Even the most positive people with no history of mental health issues have probably felt hopeless, helpless, and like things are bleak. If you feel like this, again, you are NOT ALONE. If you’ve been comparing your life to people on social media, wondering why you can’t get it the f**k together, let me remind you: social media IS NOT REAL.”
My Big Fat Fabulous Life’s Whitney went on to tell her fans that she has had so many losses this year and she is trying to deal with them the best way that she knows how. She admits that things have not been easy for her, but she is trying her best to push on and do what she can to make things happen. No matter what though, Whitney has kept her spirits high and told her fans that she will continue to push on.
