DOOL Spoilers: Sickness, Self-Tape, And Callback Craziness
The DOOL newcomer was living in New York when she got the audition for the NBC soap opera. However, she was very sick at the time, so she just sent in a self-tape, Arnold told Soap Opera Digest. They obviously liked what they saw and wanted Arnold to fly in for a callback. However, she couldn’t get on a flight at that time.
For many actors, that would be the end and casting would move on to the next person. However, things would end up working in Arnold’s favor the following week.
DOOL Casting: Reading With Robert Scott Wilson
The following week, Arnold was able to make it out to California. They had her read with Robert Scott Wilson, who plays Ben Weston on Days of Our Lives. This is interesting since as far as we know, she isn’t going to have a lot of interaction with Ben. At least, none that we know of, but we also don’t know what the writers have in store for us. The two could end up working together in a future storyline!
Lindsay Arnold Grateful For Arianne Zucker On NBC Days
The one person in Days of Our Lives that had the most impact on Arnold is Arianne Zucker. The actress has worked with her quite a bit since her debut. Arnold was understandably nervous and Zucker would tell her that everything would be okay. She was also quite comforting to the newcomer, which made it easier to adjust to working in a soap.
Days of Our Lives: Cast Impressions
As for other cast members that come into Arnold’s mind, she had this to say, “Bryan [Dattilo, Lucas Horton] is really fun on set. He’s always making jokes, which was helpful in the beginning, because I was so nervous. And Ali [Sweeney, Sami Brady] is amazing to work with. I love doing scenes with her. I think we had great chemistry, which is obviously important. She was always super-prepared and ready to run lines, and I really appreciated that.”
