When Royals Bend The Rules

It’s been said that there’s an exception to every rule but when you’re a royal sometimes those exceptions are caught on camera for the world to see. They are sometimes held to a higher standard, but being human, bend the rules just like the rest of us.

Do they have a good reason when they bend the rules or break protocol? Let’s find out!

Lady Louise Windsor’s went to Strictly Come Dancing underage?

Lady Louise Wessex is Prince Edward and the Countess of Wessex’s daughter. Like most young girls she loves horses and dancing. So is it that unusual that she and her mother were in the audience of Strictly Come Dancing in November 2018?

After all it was a present for her 15th birthday and they were photographed clapping, laughing and having a great time in the front row.

What’s the problem? Strictly contestant James Cracknell said his son can’t come until he’s 16, so there appears to be an age limit!

Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis broke the rules at the Chelsea Flower Show?

When Kate Middleton designed a garden for the Chelsea Flower Show 2019, she invited her husband Prince William and three young children to show off her handiwork.

Uh oh. Rules were bent, as the RHS website proclaims, “We regret that we cannot allow under 5s, prams, pushchairs or babes in arms at Chelsea.” What a scandal!

Zara Tindall too young to be at Ascot with Princess Anne?

When Zara Phillips was 8 years old she attended Royal Ascot with her mother Princess Anne. This was definitely against Royal Ascot’s rules!

At the time, 1989, one had to be at least 18 to enter. It is said that Zara was the only child at Royal Ascot that year. So how did she manage to wrangle a pass? She has friends in high places!

It was her grandmother, Queen Elizabeth who gave permission for her to attend the races—is anyone going to argue with the Queen?

Breaking the rules may have had a side bonus as well since won a silver medal for the equestrian team event at 2012 London Olympics.

Prince George’s first day at school

When Prince George went to school for the first time in 2017, William, the Duke of Cambridge, went with him; Kate was home with severe morning sickness. The little prince got the VIP treatment!
