The first season of Stranger Things was only eight episodes, which was perfect enough for fans to binge-watch. The second season had less episodes but was criticized for adding filler. Stranger Things Season 3 focused on the action and went back to its original eight-episode format.
Stranger Things Season 4 On Netflix
The Duffer Brothers don’t know how many episodes each of their seasons should be. Industry insiders are revealing that the new season could go back to the nine-episode format. TV journalist and insider Michael Ausiello spoke to TVline in an exclusive interview about the upcoming series.
“There’s chatter that season four may actually consist of nine episodes, one more than initially planned,” Ausiello teased, as quoted by Express. “That would make Stranger Things Season 4 one of Netflix’s drama’s meatiest seasons ever.” Rumors have been swirling that Season 4 will be Stranger Things’ final season, which will be split into two parts. An additional episode and a midseason break could reveal that the upcoming season would include the longest time frame that viewers will spend watching a single season of the sci-fic show.
Actor Finn Wolfhard also confirmed that production is underway for Stranger Things Season 4. The cast has already been looking at the new script. That means fans should expect a release date announcement sometime soon.
When Will Stranger Things Season 4 Release On Netflix
It could happen in late 2020 or early 20201 seeing as Stranger Things made its debut on Netflix in the United Kingdom and other parts of the world.
In addition, Ausiello teased the plot details about the upcoming season. “I’m also hearing that a fan-favorite character may have his/her origin story told in one (or more) of those nine episodes,” he said. What are your thoughts on Stranger Things Season 4? Sound off below in the comments section.
