Days of Our Lives spoilers and rumors tease a new DiMera will be revealed-could Kate Brady’s (Lauren Koslow) captor be another of Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) sons? Dimitri Von Leuschner (Peter Porte) can’t be tied to the Von Leuschner family except perhaps as a cousin-maybe on his mom’s side, but why else would he have interest in Kate?

Dimitri first turned up as a fake ISA agent named Kyle Graham, supposedly working the Alamanian Peacock case under Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy). But when the truth came out, it wasn’t Shane at all he was working for – it was his evil twin Drew Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy). The Alamanian Peacock was a work of art necklace full of various colors of jewels, and they were after the jewels-as Leo Starke (Greg Rikaart) had also been, sneaking a couple.

Two of Kate’s children were involved in this caper, Billie Reed (Lisa Rinna) and her brother Austin Reed (Austin Peck). But why would the very messed up Dimitri want to kidnap Kate, and where might she know him from – she recognized him on sight!

DOOL Spoilers: Dimitri Von Leuschner Came From A Broken Home

In a 2021 interview, when “Beyond Salem 1” was ready to air, portrayer Peter Porte described the character of Dimitri. Porte revealed Dimitri as a “complicated, broken person from a broken home. He also said he is stoic, serious, very controlled and driven, very meticulous, but there’s another very much softer, sweeter side.” Years ago when Kate was married to Stefano, he went on a trip to Alamania, returning and treating her to a fancy meal with all her favorite foods. But then he found out she’d betrayed him, sleeping with a colleague, Ian McAllister (Ian Buchanan) and divorced her-might Dimitri have found out Stefano was his father and wants revenge?

Kate demanded to see who was holding her captive, to find out it was someone she recognized-Dimitri, but the big question is why? Where does she know him from, Billie’s book of mug shots, and why is he treating her to an expensive looking dinner? It appears that young, messed up Dimitri might have looked further into his genealogy and found Stefano’s his father-and he’s recreating that long ago meal when Stefano found out Kate cheated.

The age would be right – he’d be a little bit younger than Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson). And Dimitri would have plenty of angst to take out on Kate, the woman who cheated on his father!
