Life After Lockup Spoilers: Where are Derek and Monique Now?

Life After Lockup spoilers reveal that fans are curious about where Derek and Monique are in their relationship. These two have gone through a lot since they first appeared on the show. There have been cheating allegations and a lot of trust issues. Derek did admit to cheating on Monique, but she has taken him back time and time again. Now they are opening up to fans about what has been happening lately.

The Couple Shares Good News

When Derek and Monique got asked about their relationship, Derek said, “We good. And things are going in the right direction.” Even though Derek admits that he cheated on her with at least ten other women since he got out of prison, it looks as if they are trying to make their love last. Monique wanted to share how they ended up on the show with her fans too.

Monique said, “I was on this Facebook group… it was a prison wife/ girlfriend support group. Some of the producers and directors were inside the group, I guess they were casting to see who wanted to be on the new season or whatever. So I used to interact in the group a lot, I talked to a lot of the other girls about, you know, me and Derek’s relationship.” Derek then added, “This was something that came about organically. This is something that people don’t know, was that we were together for two and a half years before we made it to TV.”

Will These Two Last?

Derek wanted to reassure fans that he does love Monique deeply and their love is real. “I love her for everything she was able to do for me while I was incarcerated and for the person she is and how she treats me. Everybody got their own story. This is our story. And we’re gonna continue to love each other and continue to make it work. “

Even though we have seen a lot of trust issues coming from Monique, things seem to be going very well for them. They are living together now and doing all that they can to make their relationship grow. Derek has admitted that he feels bad about all of the cheating and the fact that she gives him more chances just shows how much she is committed to him. We will continue to keep an eye on them on the show and hope that she will eventually get through her trust issues and learn to live with Derek.
