Kenya are faking polyandry for the camera
While it has been a long time, Carl and Kenya did appear on Dr Phil. This happened almost a decade ago when Tiger wasn’t a part of their lives. But they did reveal at the time that they were actively looking for a brother husband.
On the show, Kenya explained that she and Carl didn’t have an open marriage initially when they got married. They had a regular marriage with a monogamous relationship. However, they were open to exploring the world of dating.
Now, fans got to know that Carl is completely free to date other women. However, the TLC show is framing its story from a different angle.
So, it looks like Kenya and Carl are really in an open relationship and not really into polyandry that involves much more than just dating other men. On Dr Phil, when asked to choose between an open relationship and monogamy, Kenya replied that she would choose an open relationship every time.
TLC’s Seeking Brother Husband is cooking up the show to be something else.
Carl, too opened up about his feelings stating that traditional marriage has made us believe that having feelings for someone else is wrong. He also revealed that he felt ashamed if he ever felt something for any woman other than Kenya. On the show, Kenya’s other partner Charles and also Carl’s ex-girlfriend Jhoselyn appeared but didn’t reveal their face. However, all four admitted that they are free to date other people and believe in the concept of open relationships.
However, TLC’s Seeking Brother Husband is cooking up the show to be something else. Now, fans want TLC to address the reality and refrain from misleading the viewers. This might also be the reason Carl doesn’t mind being alone while Kenya is out finding another partner.
So, do you think TLC is really misleading the viewers by portraying an open relationship as polyandry? Share your thoughts in the comments!
