Return to Amish: Kate Stoltz Pursues Fashion Career and Philanthropy
Return to Amish spoilers, news, and updates tease that fans are wondering where Kate Stoltz is and what she’s been up to lately. It’s been revealed that the original Breaking Amish cast member has left the community to pursue a career in the fashion industry.
Fans may recall that Kate left her family to exploring life in New York City in 2012. Season 1 of Breaking Amish featured her first experiences in modeling and living on her own.
Back then, she joined Major Model Management in NYC and continued her modeling stint after she left the show. She got the opportunity to work with different fashion designers and gain experience in the industry.
“I always knew that I wanted to be a model but I never knew how excited and interested I was in design until I moved to NYC. Getting the opportunity to work with reputable designers in Manhattan and working with all the amazing prints and fabrics is so inspiring,” Kate shared that time.
“The designers have opened me up to a whole new world and everything they do is honestly a piece of art. It’s working with such great people that has made me decide to design for the rest of my career,” she added.
Kate Studies Fashion
In 2015, Kate enrolled at the Fashion Institute of Technology, which was the alma mater of some of the famous names in the industry such as Michael Kors and Norma Kamali. Kate also interned for firms like Rosa Clara Group, Cynthia Rowley, and Jason Wu.
Two years after, Kate launched her own clothing brand, Kate Stoltz NYC before graduating. Her brand features fashion-forward accessories, pet accessories, cashmere, products, and women’s wear.
Kate As A Philanthropist
In 2014, Kate became part of Developing Faces, a charitable organization that provides surgical care for children and babies who are born with facial abnormalities.
She currently serves as its CEO and she’s gained a lot of praise for her efforts as a philanthropist. She shared on her website that her interest in helping the non-profit organization started after a conversation with Susan Kim, Developing Faces’ co-founder. She became its CEO sometime in 2018.
Kate may have left the show and the world of reality TV for some time now. However, she agreed to star in an episode of Return to Amish Season 4 titled Jeremiah’s Story.
