Sister Wives: Was the Brown Family Really Excommunicated?
Sister Wives spoilers, news, and updates tease that the Brown family may have been excommunicated from their church.
Sister Wives is a reality show that revolves around the polyamorous lifestyle of Kody Brown and his wives. The lifestyle they have advocated is not really for everyone. Some beliefs may claim that this is also immoral.
In the show, they revealed that they had been excommunicated from their church because they publicly showed their lifestyle. However, recent reports say that the church never really excommunicated them at all.
The Apostolic United Brethren (AUB)
In the series, the Browns follow a group known as AUB or Apostolic United Brethren. It is said to have over 10,000 members across the states of Arizona, Mexico, Montana, Utah, and Wyoming. The group believes that leading a polygamous lifestyle is one step in attaining the highest glory of heaven.
The Browns revealed that they were kicked out of their church because they showed it in a reality TV show. The show has been on the air for 17 seasons since it first aired in 2010. But they started their polygamous family back in the 90s.
According to the report of the blogger, it is the opposite of what happened. It was revealed that the Browns were not kicked out of their church and were just said to spin the story and take the church out of the context of the show.

It is also said that there was no such assembly to formally excommunicate the Browns from the church. The Church and the Browns allegedly made this an angle so that it would like they are no longer connected.
Christie, one of Kody’s ex-wives, revealed before that she left a long time ago and is no longer part of their church. In her statement, it seems like they were not really excommunicated at all as she penned it as if she left it at her own will.
Meri, one of Kody’s earlier wives, is also connected to one of the registered agents of the church. It was her mom. According to the source, it was revealed that until Meri’s mother died, she was still a registered agent and was obviously part of the church. Meri’s mother, Bonnie, had appeared in several episodes of the show. So, if it were true that the Browns were excommunicated, Bonnie shouldn’t have associated herself with them in the first place, especially with her status in the church.
Let’s see if the Browns will address this issue or if it will be a topic on the show. Be sure to catch up on everything happening with the Sister Wives right now. Come back here often for Sister Wives news and updates.
