Counting On Alum Jill Shares Touching Post About Derick Dillard

Counting On fans didn’t take to Derick Dillard when they first saw Jim Bob Duggar take Jill to meet him. Later, they dissed him for allegedly being homophobic with Jazz Jennings. But these days, thousands of TLC fans like him a lot. Plenty of them loved Jill’s touching birthday message for him this week, but it was the paparazzi-style photo that did it for her cousin Amy King.

Counting On: Things Changed For Derick Dillard & Jill

When fans saw that Derick started studying law, they hoped he might write a tell-all book about the life and faith of his father-in-law. Actually, it was Jill’s sister, Jinger Vuolo who did that. Derick approved of her launch post, but he hasn’t seemed inclined to write himself. Instead, he builds a new life for his family as a lawyer in Oklahoma.

Counting On fans saw that he supported Jill when her brother Josh was on trial. Additionally, he was right there for her when she lost a baby in 2021. Plus, he called for folks not to vote for Jim Bob. Well, it caused a feud, however, that seems to be healing between Jill and her mom. These days they have a new baby named Freddy and everything looks like life is going well for them.

Counting On: Jill’s Message For Derick Dillard

On March 9, Derick turned 34 years old. Born in 1989, he seemed good at sports in school, and he studied hard at university as well as being a missionary. These days, he’s considered a role model as a dad to their three sons, Israel, Sam, and Freddy. Jill shared two photos of him on his birthday and her cousin Amy King loved the one that looked like it was taken by the paparazzi.

Amy told the Counting On alum, “It’s the paparazzi pic for me!!😂 Happy Bday @derickdillard You are [a] good man who provides! You’re hilarious and hardworking! Love to see y’all so happy.” 

Jill wrote in her caption, “Happy birthday to the man of my dreams @derickdillard 🥰💘.” Aww, that seems to be very sweet. Then she added, “💞Your grit, patience, wisdom, strength and compassion inspire me! Thanks for being our rock and always pointing us back to Jesus! I love you so much babe and pray God blesses you abundantly this coming year! 😘💞.”

Derick Responds To The Touching Message

Counting On fans saw that Derick popped up in the comments. Clearly, she made his birthday special. He wrote, “Thanks babe for a memorable birthday! You’re so fun, and I love you more every day!”
