Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Jada Suspicious Of Little Sister Talia-Why Is She Applying At A Bakery?
Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease that when Talia Hunter (Aketra Sevillian) hits Salem, older sister Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) will be suspicious. Why would Talia, who has a medical degree, apply at Sweet Bits, a bakery-what went wrong, is Talia holding something back?
Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Marcus Hunter Was A Doctor
During his years in Salem, Jada and Talia’s father, Marcus Hunter (Richard Biggs) was a doctor, and a good friend of Steve and Kayla Johnson (Stephen Nichols, Mary Beth Evans). Apparently, Talia wanted to follow in her and Jada’s father’s footsteps, while perhaps Jada was more influenced by their father’s stories of Steve’s ISA work and interested in law enforcement. Even Talia’s sudden decision to move to Salem seems to be suspect as far as Jada is concerned, perhaps because of the suddenness of it.
It takes many years of college, university, pre-med, and residency to become a full-fledged doctor, and apparently Talia did put in the work. So why is she suddenly moving to Salem and applying for a job at Sweet Bits, a bakery; that won’t pay her student loans, let alone much else!
DOOL Spoilers: You’re My Sister, Not My Mother
Jada seems like she might be an overprotective sibling, and since there’s no backstory on who Marcus married and what happened to her, there could be reasons. We’re not yet sure how much younger Talia is than Jada, although Jada is still a rookie in the Salem PD-she has been previously married and divorced. If Jada is even five years older and Mrs. Hunter died before Marcus, there could have been a few years when Jada had to fill in raising her sister.
That tends to make older sisters overprotective of younger ones, and Talia may just have gotten out of med school and expected to do her residency at Salem University Hospital. Talia may clap back at Jada when she questions why she isn’t applying at the hospital where there’s currently a shortage of doctors and she’d be a shoe-in.
Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Talia Hunter May Feel Interrogated
Even if Talia doesn’t give the “you’re my sister, not my mother” routine to Jada about her career choice, she may feel interrogated, and Jada may well be interrogating her. Detectives tend to do that, even if unintentionally-it can become a habit to take their skill set home with them when trying to get answers from family or friends. Perhaps Talia did complete her residency at another hospital elsewhere, and when she found the long hours didn’t leave her time for a life, she changed her mind.
Talia could have an artistic and creative side as well, and not found any way to use it in the medical field and found decorating cakes is fun. There could be other reasons she moved to Salem suddenly and didn’t want to use her doctoring skills besides dark and criminal ones, not everything happens for those type of reasons.
