Sister Wives: Will the Show Go On?

Sister Wives spoilers reveal that, according to In Touch, after Kody Brown split with first Christine, then separated from Janelle, and is now calling it quits with Meri – viewers are wondering if there will be anything left of Sister Wives to call a show.

There has been no indication, from TLC or the cast of Sister Wives, that the reality TV series will be canceled. Though, Christine revealed in a November Instagram post that she was “finally filming” at her Salt Lake City, Utah home. She hashtagged “Sister Wives” and “new beginnings” in the caption, a premiere date for the series’ 18th season has yet to be announced.

Fans Ponder the End of Sister Wives

Also notable is that fans of the popular TLC series have varied opinions as to whether the show should continue now that Kody isn’t technically a polygamist any longer. One Twitter user wrote, “Ohhh it has to be canceled now. There’s no one left to film with. There’s no sister wives left. Kody made it clear there’s nothing going on with Meri. That’s a wrap folks.”

Another twitterer wrote in a similar tweet, “I wish the show would just get canceled. Now I just hate-watch this thing every week. Kody gets worse every season and needs to watch himself acting like a fool. #SisterWives.”

What About Some Sister Wives Spinoffs?

There are other viewers that are calling for a spinoff series that would feature Christine, Janelle, and Meri. “The Sister Wives show needs to be canceled and Meri, Christine and Janelle can have their own show – SISTER WIVES SINGLE LIFE,” a hopeful fan floated into the Twitterverse.

Another hopeful viewer added, “Please cancel Sister Wives at this point and a make a spin – off series about the lives of Christine, Janelle, and Meri after this experience, their new lives, how stuff is going, etc. You can have this idea for free. Please make. That’s what we all want to see.”

The First to Leave

Christine and Kody split in November of 2021, almost 11 years to the day the show premiered in September 2010. She was the first to leave the arrangement and announce it on Instagram, writing, “After more than 25 years together, Kody and I have grown apart and I have made the difficult decision to leave.”
