Sister Wives Spoilers: Did Janelle and Kody Finally Spilt?

Sister Wives spoilers and updates tease that Janelle Brown has finally ended her marriage to Kody Brown. A source of In Touch revealed that Janelle had reached a point when she can finally be independent.

A report by In Touch exclusively confirmed, based on a source, that “Janelle is a strong independent woman and realized she can do it on her own.”

Janelle and Kody got married in 1993, and even if they’ve been together for nearly three decades, their relationship was put to the test during the pandemic. The pair had an intense argument when Janelle refused to follow Kody’s strict COVID-19 rules for their holiday plans back in 2020.

Their relationship continued to decline in the following months. An insider told US Weekly earlier this year that Janelle and Kody would eventually go on their separate ways.

Janelle Questions Role In Plural Marriage

The latest season focused more on Christine and Kody’s separation. However, it was quite obvious that Janelle and Kody hadn’t been on good terms. They constantly argue, and Janelle even starts to question her role in their unconventional marriage.

“I’ve caught myself in the last few weeks really reflecting and being like, ‘OK, look: Do I still choose plural marriage?’” Janelle said earlier this year.

“Yeah, I still choose it, but I’ve had to [make] that conscious decision with myself,” she continued.

Janelle also confessed that their kids are almost grown, and she thinks she no longer needs to stay in their plural marriage.

“With Kody and I right now, our relationship is pretty strained. And you know, it’s easy to walk away,” Janelle noted.

Hints About Separation

Gwendlyn Brown dropped a hint during her November 22 TikTok Live that Kody’s remaining wives are only Meri and Robyn. Kirstyn Decker, Christine’s aunt, also told In Touch that Janelle and Kody have separated “a long time ago” and that their relationship was merely platonic.

Kristyn also alleged that Kody wants his other wives to leave him because he if kicks them out, others would look down upon men who leave their wives than when the wife decides to leave on their own. This is based on Brown’s religion, Apostolic United Brethren (AUB), a fundamentalist Mormon sect that has strict rules about marriage.

An official statement still needs to be issued about their spilt. And if the show returns for another season, Janelle’s departure may take center stage.
