According to In Touch Janelle Brown has officially ended her marriage to Kody Brown. Fans have witnessed months of tension on Sister Wives. Now a source tells In Touch, “Janelle is a strong independent woman and realized she can do it on her own.” The source went on to say that Janelle outgrew Kody.

Sister Wives Spoilers reveal Janelle and Kody were together for the better part of three decades. However, it has been obvious since the COVID-19 pandemic started that Kody and Janelle have had major issues. Kody and Janelle often clashed over Covid rules that Kody expected to be followed by the family of 23. Janelle refused to follow Kody’s rules believing he was going overboard.
Kody also demanded that Janelle make her sons Gabriel Brown and Garrison Brown move out of her house because they worked outside the home. Janelle refused to kick her sons out of their home when Kody was rarely there anyway. At one point, Janelle even told Kody to “f–k off” during one of their arguments about the 2020 holiday season.

Janelle and Kody’s relationship has steadily declined since the beginning of the Covid pandemic. A source even confided in Us Weekly that the split between Janelle and Kody was imminent. Janelle seems to have taken a page out of Christine Brown’s book and left Kody. Janelle has been the only one who sympathized with Christine revealing how much their marriage became alike.
Christine’s separation from Kody has been the primary focus of Season 17 of Sister Wives. However, it seems that the beginning of the end of Kody and Janelle has been shown this season as well. Currently, the issues between Kody and Janelle have been about the housing situation since Kody is furious over Janelle’s purchase of an RV. Janelle has been seriously questioning her marriage lately.

Gwendlyn Brown, Christine’s daughter, hinted at Janelle and Kody’s separation in November 2022. However, Gwendlyn quickly backtracked as if she wasn’t supposed to mention that. Christine’s aunt, Kristyn Decker, exclusively told In Touch in November 2022 that Janelle left Kody “a long time ago.” “As far as any relationship, any marriage goes, I think [Janelle’s] similar to, in Meri [Brown]’s situation where she’s just staying in a marriage that’s not really a marriage. I don’t think they’ve had a marriage for a long, long, long time. It’s just platonic.” Kristyn told In Touch.
According to In Touch Kody is a member of the fundamentalist Mormon sect known as Apostolic United Brethren (AUB). According to some sources, Kody is pushing his wives away because the women are looked down upon if they kick Kody out. Kody would be charged much more harshly if he chose to leave his wives. Now that Kody has only two wives, will he rebuild with those who chose to stay?
