How Is Sister Wives Star Meri Brown Handling The Hate During Season 17?
Sister Wives fans used to love and adore Meri Brown because she fell for a person that she thought was a man. Ready to ditch Kody, it fell through and fans saw endless footage about the catfishing incident. In season 17, though, fans have turned into critics, and she’s getting roasted. So, how does she cope with that? Read on to find out.
Sister Wives Star Meri Brown Returned To Kody
You might recall that Kody tracked down his estranged wife on her birthday and that was the first inkling that the catfish incident might be put behind them. Well, as the seasons went by, it become obvious that they would never reconcile. Anyway, fans rooted for Meri but they remained confused about why she resolutely stuck around in a loveless relationship. But, a lot of her popularity fell away in season 17 when she dissed Christine for leaving.
When the Sister Wives star advertised a retreat recently, some people canceled. Well, fans assume that the openings came up because of the way Meri treated Christine on the show. Of course, it could have been that the price she wanted was just too high right now. Anyway, angry critics make much of slamming her out of sympathy for Christine. This week, Meri responded in one of her not-so-cryptic posts on Instagram Stories.
Sister Wives Star Meri Brown Posts About Walking Away
In a series of stories on November 16, Meri revealed that she’s well aware of the criticism against her. Using quotes she said spoke about not wanting to get into arguments with anyone. Instead, she walks away because she only wants “peace.” That quote was credited to powerofpositivity.com. However, she also touched on something that drives her fans crazy.
The Sister Wives star posted up another meme that said, “Let them hate. Just make sure they spell your name right.” Actually, using that meme was probably a slap at all the keyboard warriors who dedicate a lot of time to trolling her. Often, they get her name wrong. In fact, across social media, it becomes obvious that TLC fans also get irritated with it. Names like Merry, Mary, and Marie sometimes crop up.
Handling The Hate
If the two slides posted by Sister Wives star Meri Brown are considered at the same time, it seems that she copes by just walking away from critics who can’t be bothered to find out how to spell her name. If they can get that wrong, are they worth listening to? What do you think? Sound off in the comments below.
