Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal a major letdown for Nicole now that she knows Jada is going to have Eric’s baby.

Although Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) certainly didn’t want to hurt Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering), she told him it was over between them just as Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) were learning she was pregnant. When Nicole finds out, it will certainly be a shock, but she still thinks she and Eric can be together.

“This wasn’t in the cards,” Arianne Zucker said in the November 21, 2022, issue of Soap Opera Digest. “Nicole and Eric’s last conversation was, ‘We’re going to be together.’ This throws a wrench in that and puts a heavy weight on Nicole’s shoulders. She knows the right thing to do is to be supportive, but you know what? She doesn’t have to like it.”

Nicole Puts Her Foot In Her Mouth

And Nicole doesn’t like it at all. Instead, she goes straight to Jada and asks her why she would want to have the baby of a man who doesn’t want to be with her. When Eric gets wind of that, he tells Nicole to mind her business. This shocks Nicole, but she also knows that Eric has waited a long time to be a father with disappointment after disappointment.

Nicole also realizes this deep down and knows she can’t give Eric a child due to her past miscarriages. This might be the only chance Eric has, but Nicole does not want to give up on him — especially after she just dumped dopey Rafe.

“That still was the right thing to do because she was having these feelings for Eric, so she was emotionally cheating on Rafe,” Zucker told Digest. “She can’t believe this is happening. Nicole is shattered and feels like she is in limbo.”
