Days of Our Lives Spoilers: An October Surprise

In the world of American elections, October surprises even extend to soap operas, apparently, and Pulina Price Carver (Jackee Harry) is a victim of one. She is running for governor and things are going along swimmingly until Sloan Peterson (Jessica Serfaty) arrives with an oppo file on Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens).

It seems Chanel did something illegal back in college that Paulina didn’t even know about but Sloane is willing to make it all go away — for a hefty price of course. This leaves Paulina with quite a dilemma but her first thought is to protect her daughter.

A DiMera Surprise

Yes, it looks like Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) was fooling everyone when she announced she had married Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) before he died. They may have gotten engaged right before he was shot, but they never actually wed. And EJ DiMera (Daniel Feuerriegel) now knows this and exposes her to everyone.

It turns out Jake’s shares went to his mother, Vivian Alamain (last played by Linda Dano), and she gifts them back to her other son, Stefan O. DiMera (also Brandon Barash), making EJ a very happy man indeed. However, Ava is not about to take any of this lying down. Heck, it even costs her the admiration of Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman). But that’s ok for Johnny because he has a new woman he is interested in — Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace).

Other Salem Happenings

Kayla Brady Johnson (Mary Beth Evans), Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), and Kate DiMera (Lauren Koslow) are still dying and only an orchid that Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) possesses can save them, but what does Kristen want for helping out?

Finally, Allie Horton’s (Lindsay Godfrey) idea for a threesome with Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) and Chanel may not work out the way she planned. Alex still has eyes for Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein), but apparently, so does Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn). He sure is ready to move on from Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) fast.
