Days of Our Lives Spoilers: A DiMera Alliance

EJ DiMera (Daniel Feuerriegel) was still recovering in Europe from his own return from the dead episode when Stefan O. DiMera (Brandon Barash) was around the last time so the two brothers never got to know one another.

When Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) informed EJ that Stefan has his own return from the dead story, he didn’t believe her at first because how could it be? Then, he remembered almost every DiMera has returned from the dead at some point, with Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) perfecting the art way back in the 1980s.

Then, EJ realized that he can use Stefan to his advantage. Yes, he knew he was in love with Gabi before he died, but Gabi has now informed him that Stefan seems to have no interest in her so she is going to just marry Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) and still have some DiMera control. That is now what EJ wants at all.

EJ Has A Proposal

EJ decides to use Stefan’s new disdain for Gabi to his advantage and proposes they team up to try to oust her from the family company once and for all. Stefan just loves this idea and also loves that he finally has a brother who actually likes him as Stefan and Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) didn’t get along for some pretty obvious reasons, namely Abigail and Gabigail.

“Finally, Stefan has an ally in the family, someone that he can connect to genuinely,” Brandon Barash said in the September 26, 2022, issue of Soap Opera Digest. “There’s a lot of promise in that relationship in Stefan’s eyes.”

The only reason that Gabi has any control over the company at all is that she was married to Stefan and she inherited shares after his alleged death. But Stefan is now brainwashed into believing he never loved Gabi, so ousting her is top on his mind.

“Stefan and Gabi were a power couple,” Barash said. “Obviously that’s gone. Now Stefan is hoping there’s a new power couple in town?” Or, at least power brothers. Stream new episodes of Days of Our Lives weekdays on Peacock starting at 6 am EST.
