Ava has been able to inherit Jake’s shares in DiMera Enterprises because she is his widow.

EJ believes that Ava is conspiring with Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) to have a place in DiMera Enterprises. EJ wants to take control of Jake’s shares in DiMera Enterprises and called a shareholder meeting. EJ believed that he could convince the other shareholders that Ava was suffering from mental issues related to Jake’s death. Johnny decided that he would help Ava at the shareholder meeting and kept EJ from getting control of DiMera Enterprises.
