Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem 2 – How Things Stand Presently

Peacock has not released anything so far about a new season of Beyond Salem. However, it is extremely early for the network to make that call. After season one, Peacock requested more but had to settle for a movie because there was no time to write a new five-episode chapter.

Of course, the network probably wants to check out ratings before deciding on a new season. However, they also know how much time it takes to write and produce a season as well. Perhaps Peacock will consider that when making its renewal decision. In the meantime, both seasons of Beyond Salem and A Very Salem Christmas movie are available for streaming.

Days of Our Lives is a very important part of NBC. After all, Days is the last surviving NBC soap opera and has a large following. Peacock airs Days Of Our Lives daily episodes in the evenings for those who can’t watch during the day or just want a second look.

Beyond Salem was created because of the viewership that Peacock gets. Peacock has been very impressed and Peacock needs big hits for the streaming service. Days of Our Lives has been around for decades and fans love to watch the spin-off series.

Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem Is Not Like A Network Show

Days of Our Lives Beyond Salem is not like the network show. Days of Our Lives (the original series) tape six months in advance and airs about 240 shows a year. Beyond Salem has five episodes. Beyond Salem is streaming only and not an everyday thing. Beyond Salem can be pulled up whenever you want to watch it. There are quite a few differences between the two which draw viewers to the show. So far, beyond Salem seems to be a once-a-year special. Ideally, Season 3 would debut in 2023 until Peacock decides immediately to renew the show. It is already July so any faster would be a lot of work in a short time.

Because there are so many episodes of Days of Our Lives, the writers have to know what is happening on the episodes airing that week and make sure the stories line up. It is very hard to have characters in Salem on the main show and in another country on the special. However, as soon as writers get the go-ahead, Beyond Salem Chapter 3 could be in the works.
