Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Could Steve Burton Get A Full-Time Contract After Beyond Salem?

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Steve Burton (ex-Jason Morgan, General Hospital), who plays Harris Michaels on Days Of Our Lives: Beyond Salem Chapter 2, is not only thrilled with the show but could score a contract as well. Is Steve about to join the “mother ship” and become a regular on Days of Our Lives?

Days of Our Lives: Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem Chapter 2 is set to drop on Peacock on July 11. Of course, the series will last through Friday, July 15 with one episode dropped each day. Steve has revised the role where he got his start in daytime television in 1988. Now that Burton has finished the mini-series fans are wondering if he could be in line for a contract role. Since Burton is no longer on General Hospital, could he be open to joining Days full-time? Since Harris could be tied in with the Dimera’s already, that would not be too hard to pull off.

DOOL Spoilers: When One Door Closes Another Door Opens

When Days of Our Lives Burton was fired from G.H. for not complying with the vaccine mandate set in place by ABC, he stated that he hoped to come back if the mandate was lifted. Burton had applied for religious and medical exemptions to this vaccine but was denied both.

However, when Burton left his philosophy was that when one door closes and opens. Well, it didn’t take long for the door to Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem 2 to open wide. Burton had previously worked with the writer, Ron Carlivati as well as other executives on the show. When Burton was approached he quickly jumped at the chance to reprise this role. Burton even joked about his wardrobe changes considering Jason didn’t have much of one.

Days of Our Lives: Salem Needs Some New Residents

With five contract players recently exiting Days, it seems they would have money to hire a few actors. After all, Robert Scott Wilson is set to return as a new character since Ben Weston (Wilson’s original character) has set sail with his wife and child. Burton could easily come to town as a new character since Michaels is a villain. Of course, Michaels could come to Salem as well.

Burton is certainly impressed with his co-stars and seems to fit right in. Of course, Burton could bring some fans to Days as well which is always good for ratings. Will Steve be sticking around Salem soon? Will we see a redemption story for Michaels if he does?
