Now, spoilers for the NBC daytime drama indicate that June 10th will be the beginning of a devastating storyline that will welcome back the returns of Jennifer and Jack Deveraux during the following week.

Fans can expect Matthew Ashford to reprise his fan-favorite role meanwhile word is Cady McClain will be stepping back into the role of Jennifer as Melissa Reeves was unavailable to film at the time. Many fans want to know why the show took the root of killing off a legacy character, didn’t they have another option like recasting or writing her out? It’s possible they could have recast but wouldn’t fans be tired of so many actresses playing the one role?

Rumor has it that Marci Miller who is nominated in the category of Outstanding Lead Actress at the Daytime Emmy Awards this year opted to leave the show to focus on her family. Fans would remember that last year, Miller and her husband Ryan welcomed their first child, a daughter. Another rumor suggests that Kate Mansi was optioned to return but was unavailable and another rumor noted that neither actress was available to be on the show full time.

The character of Abigail is obviously beloved and her pairing with Billy Flynn’s Chad Duell is another reason viewers love her. This role was what earned Kate Mansi her first Daytime Emmy award. We are sad to see the character go but this is Days of Our Lives, we are sure that somehow the character will be revived in the future. In the meantime gear up yourselves for some emotional episodes and the return of Cady and Matthew as Jennifer and Jack respectively.
