How Does TLC Choose 90 Day Fiance Cast Members?
90 Day Fiance spoilers reveal that fans of the show and TLC feel that the network really doesn’t select the cast members very well. In fact, some viewers feel that they choose people that have health issues. In some of these cases, the medical issues stand out more to viewers than their love stories.
Health Issues of the 90 Day Fiance Cast
There are spin offs galore to 90 Day Fiance and it looks as if the focus on some of the series is the health problems of the cast. On the fourth season of the show, there were actually three cast members that all had health problems. This was on Before the 90 Days and we got to see more of their health issues than their love story. This was a little surprising because viewers really want to see their story and not their medical history.
On the fourth season of Before the 90 Days, we met Ed Brown, who was living with Klippel-Feil syndrome, which is a rare bone condition that stunted his growth and it looks as if his neck never grew. Then, we met Stephanie Matto, who is suffering from aplastic anemia. This is a bone marrow disorder and she has to take a lot of medications to keep it at bay. Lastly, we met Ash Naeck. He has Graves’ disease, which is a thyroid condition and causes him to have big eyes.
More Medical Conditions
Even though there were all of these cast members on this season, there were even more on season five. First there was Alina Kozhevnikova, who suffers from diastrophic dysplasia. This is a rare form of dwarfism. Then, we got a chance to see Ben Rathbun and viewers noticed he had a droopy eye on the right side. Then Mike Berk told the world that he has ADHD and that is what caused his issues with Ximena Morales.
Has TLC really found people with medical conditions for a reason? We will continue to watch to find out if this is a trend.
