Days Of Our Lives: Jackie Cox Teases Double Trouble For Lisa Rinna Lookalike!

Days Of Our Lives spoilers tease that Jackie Cox will take her excitement from appearing with Lisa Rinna (who plays Billie Reed) on “Days Of Our Lives: Beyond Salem” to a full-blown plot on DOOL. And the drag star who won kudos on “RuPaul’s Drag Race” still can’t stop gushing over her role on Days Of Our Lives. That joy means Jackie will bring her all to Salem in upcoming episodes!

Jackie Cox Goes From RuPaul’s Drag Race To Beyond Salem!

When Jackie Cox earned fifth place on RuPaul’s Drag Race for her perfect imitation of Lisa Rinna, she never dreamed that her success would turn her into Rinna’s co-star. But that’s just what happened. And looking back at her performance on “Days Of Our Lives: Beyond Salem,” Jackie admitted that at first, she thought producers were joking.

“I thought it was maybe a joke! I couldn’t have even imagined that it would happen. I was like, ‘This can’t be real!'” gushed Cox. But the dream turned into reality when she found out the depth of her role.

“I thought it would maybe be me walking past Lisa as a joke, but it ended up being so much more than I thought it would be. I was like, ‘No, I’m involved in a jewel heist!’ It was honestly just so exciting to be there,” added Jackie. 

Jackie Cox Moves ‘Beyond The Lisa Rinna Of It All’

Lisa Rinna made sure to help the woman who impersonates her feel welcome, shared Jackie. Cox shared that she hadn’t seen Lisa in person for quite some time. “But she’s very friendly with me on Instagram, so I didn’t feel nervous. She is someone who really gets it, who is in on the joke,” added Jackie about the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star.

As a result, when Days Of Our Lives producers called Jackie about doing an arc on DOOL, she thought she would play a similar role. But Cox shared that she felt thrilled to discover that her new arc means so much more! “Not only did that mean a lot to me, but what’s so amazing about this appearance is that it’s moved beyond the Lisa Rinna of it all,” pointed out Jackie. 

In contrast to her role in “Days Of Our Lives: Beyond Salem,” Cox takes on a full-fledged character. And she explained that her “Beyond Salem” role mirrored her imitation of Lisa Rinna as a ploy in the spin-off. However, her new story arc demands much more from Jackie as an actress.

DOOL Spoilers: Jackie Cox Gets ‘In Cahoots With Leo’!

Jackie explained the difference between her character in “Beyond Salem” on Peacock and DOOL on the network. “Beyond Salem was very much tagged to my impersonation of Lisa Rinna; that was one of the gags of the series,” clarified Cox. “But this is truly about me fitting into this universe — my relationship with Leo, my relationship with Chad, what has happened in between Beyond Salem and now. Expanding on the character that is Jackie Cox on Days Of Our Lives is truly an incredible gift.”

Because Jackie’s drag queen persona got linked to Lisa Rinna, prepare for double the pleasure AND double the trouble! “I love this Jackie Cox because she is very devious!” warned Cox. And she recommends that viewers prepare for some surprises ahead. Watch for Jackie to play “a bit of a ne’er-do-well,” as she summed up her character. “And I don’t know if you can trust her!”

When Cox began working with the cast, she recalls telling “Greg [Rikaart, Leo], ‘Oh, we’re the Boris and Natasha of the Days universe!’ In theory, I’m from RuPaul’s Drag Race. But I’ve decided to get in cahoots with Leo Stark and cause drama! That’s not something I would do in real life,” noted Cox. “But the Jackie Cox of the DOOL universe is unpredictable.”
