DOOL Alum Brant Daugherty, WCTH Chris McNally Star in Hallmark’s ‘Spring Into Love’
Days of Our Lives alum Brant Daugherty and “When Calls the Heart” fan-favorite Chris McNally will star in Hallmark’s new movies lined up for the channel’s “Spring Into Love.”
Celebrating spring, Hallmark Channel started “Spring Into Love” which has five movies with each premiering every Saturday since last March 26 and will run until April 23.
This year’s line-up featured two familiar faces, Brant Daugherty who portrayed Brian in “DOOL” and Chris McNally who plays Lucas in “WCTH.”
Brant Daugherty stars opposite “Bondi Slayer” actress Philippa Northeast in “A Royal Runaway Romance” which will premiere on April 9.
According to Entertainment Tonight, the heartthrob Daugherty will portray a bodyguard named Grady who works for Princess Amelia of Bundbury played by actress Northeast. Princess Amelia travels across America to try her luck in love with an artist, but she ends up falling in love with her bodyguard, Grady instead.
While Chris McNally is the leading man opposite “Holiday Date” actress Brittany Bristow in “A Tail of Love” which will premiere on April 23.
McNally portrays a soldier named JR whose late grandfather owned a dog food company that’s being sold. Meanwhile, Bella played by Bristow is worried that her dog rescue’s future is in question as the rescue’s property is being sold which is the reason JR is home on leave to handle the sale. Bella turns to JR for help with finding the missing documents about her grandparents’ purchase of the land to ensure that the dogs will not be homeless.
When Calls The Heart’s Chris McNally Lands Major Roles on ‘Grease: Rise Of The Pink Ladies’ & ‘Firefly Lane’
It’s a busy year for McNally who landed two major recurring roles on Paramount+’s upcoming “Grease prequel Rise of the Pink Ladies”, and season 2 of Netflix’s “Firefly Lane,” Deadline reported last February.
In Season 2 of Firefly Lane, McNally will play opposite Sarah Chalke and Katherine Heigl as a charismatic English teacher named Mr. Waverly who will push Kate and Tully out of their comfort zones.
‘Days of Our Lives’ alum Brant Daugherty Reveals Why He Missed His Son’s Birth
Speaking of busy, actor Daugherty has had his fair share last year when he missed his son Wilder David’s birth in April 2021 because of his hectic schedule.
Daugherty told Access Hollywood’s Kit Hoover that “it was heartbreaking” missing that special moment when his wife Kim welcomed the baby boy into the world because he was on the set of a movie in Canada.
The movie ended two days after her due date and the actor thought he’ll still make it as a lot of first babies come late but Wilder David came a little early so Daugherty had to witness it via FaceTime.
