Days of Our Lives (DOOL) Spoilers: EJ’s Downfall and Sami’s Return, The Next Chapter for ‘Ejami’

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Sami DiMera (Alison Sweeney) is going to return in the near future. Of course, nobody knows that she was kidnapped right outside the Hernandez family’s back door. Meanwhile, it seems that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) is spiraling and his downfall isn’t far off. So, what is the next chapter for “Ejami?”

Scrambling to Regain Control

DOOL spoilers reveal that EJ has been gone for nearly a decade. After his death and resurrection, EJ needed special care before he finally got back to being himself. Sami was there every step of the way. In fact, it was Sami who just knew her husband was alive somewhere. The schemer followed “clues” around the world until she found EJ.

While Sami was trying to forget about her fling with Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo), EJ had two goals in mind. One was to fix his broken marriage, and the other was to regain control. Neither goal turned out the way EJ had envisioned in his mind and he has been spiraling. We are seeing EJ lose control more often, which will probably intensify in the next few weeks.

DOOL Spoilers: Sami DiMera’s Kidnapping

When EJ found out about “Lumi,” he kicked her out of the mansion. As usual, Sami refused to leave until she was good and ready. Sami told her husband that she was going to get permission from Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) to stay at the mansion. Sami just knew it would only be a matter of time before she was back in EJ’s arms.

However, someone kidnapped Sami before she could knock on Gabi’s door. There are a lot of theories of who is responsible. Some of the theories include EJ, Lucas, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk), Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) and even Sami herself.

EJ DiMera’s Downfall

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that EJ appears to be headed for his downfall. Feuerriegal told Soap Opera Digest,

“He came back after many, many years away, to, in a way, a completely different Salem, so he’s scrambling and doing whatever he can to wrest control back, which I think is another very interesting, multifaceted element of what EJ is going through.”

When soap characters keep pushing despite repeated obstacles and hiccups, it usually is a hint of what is to come. EJ is someone who doesn’t fail often, which will make his downfall even more humiliating. With EJ’s arrogance, it seems that he definitely needs a reality check.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Humbled and Focused

We are beginning to see EJ display emotions besides rage. In fact, the actor teased that EJ will show a more human side as he struggles to cope with Sami’s alleged abandonment.

EJ was determined to fix his marriage, yet lost Sami in multiple ways. EJ was determined to be the top dog at DiMera Enterprises, only to be forced to share the CEO position with Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn). EJ planned to run the family business with his son, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), only to have the aspirin filmmaker push back just as hard. Then, there is EJ’s goal to get over Sami, but Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) has feelings for Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering). Plus, there is Steve “Patch” Johnson’s (Stephen Nichols) search for Kristen, Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) possession.

‘Ejami’ Reunite for Ultimate Comeback?

When EJ’s downfall happens, there will probably be nobody there to help him pick up the pieces. The only person taht would be willing to help EJ is the person he pushed away. So, wouldn’t it be interesting if Sami returned just as EJ’s entire world comes crashing down? Even though the downfall might humble EJ a bit, it could also set the stage for an interesting new chapter. Will EJ and Sami come together to plan the ultimate comeback?
