Counting On: Jill Duggar Receives Support from Sisters Jinger and Joy-Anna After MiscarriageThe Ex-Counting On star and her husband Derick Dillard recently discovered that they had a third child in the pipeline, but those hopes were quickly shattered with tragedy when Jill miscarried the baby.

Fans know that Jill’s sisters, Jinger and Joy-Anna have experienced similar situations so it would only be natural that they lend support to their sister during this painful time.

Counting On: We Love and Miss You River Bliss

On October 11, Jill and her husband took to Instagram to announce the tragic news with a brief vignette, featuring the sad song “I Will Carry You (Audrey’s Song)” By Selah.

The former reality TV couple captioned the post with, “We recently found out we were expecting our third baby. We were thrilled! However, a few days later we started miscarrying.”

The former Counting On stars directed fans to their blog for the full story and finalized the post by saying goodbye to their child.

“We love & miss you River Bliss!”

Counting On: Making It Count for Something

The Counting On pair then added some relevant hashtags to their post, presumably taking the tragedy in stride while making it count by raising awareness: #miscarriage

On their family website, the two used the space to go into their ordeal in greater detail.

They shared that their two other sons, Israel, 6, and Samuel, 4, had been excited at the prospect of having a baby brother or sister, writing, “It was fun to see so much joy in the boys’ faces as we shared the news with them,” adding that the boys had been “so excited” as they discussed what it would be like for them after the birth.

Counting On: Support from Family is Crucial

The couple’s social media accounts were flooded with support for the two in this trying time.

One Counting On follower said, “Love you so much and your sweet family… River would have been beautiful. Wrapping you in prayers,” while another shared, “Oh Jill, I’m so sorry! I’m also going through a miscarriage right now. My thoughts and prayers are with you.”

Jill’s sister Jinger jumped in to lend support to her grieving sister and brother-in-law, saying, “Jill, my heart aches for you all. Love you so much and praying for you, sis!!”
