Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) will return to Salem after many months bearing sad news in an upcoming episode of Days of Our Lives!

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Maggie Kiriakis Left To Care For Her Dying Older Daughter, Summer Townsend

Longtime Days of Our Lives viewers will remember that Maggie’s first and oldest daughter, Summer Townsend (Marie Wilson) had shown up at the Kiriakis mansion several months ago. Summer had told Maggie that she was dying of a terminal liver condition, and Maggie ultimately left Salem to care for her in California. Summer, as Maggie, had years of drinking problems and it caused cirrhosis of the liver- she blamed Maggie for the problems that drove her to drink.

Summer’s unexpected visit and the conflict between mother and daughter threw Maggie off the wagon, and as Days of Our Lives viewers will recall, contributed to the accident that killed Adrienne Kiriakis (Judi Evans) although it wasn’t Maggie who was actually at the wheel. That was the result of the manipulations of Orpheus (George Del Toro). Maggie had been unconscious at the time. Maggie returns to Salem with the sad news that Summer has passed away.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Maggie Kiriakis’ Sad News Will Grieve Brady Black And Chloe Lane Will Support Him Emotionally

Longtime Days of Our Lives viewers will remember that Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) saved Summer from drowning herself in the ocean, after Maggie had wondered whatever happened to her and he found her. Days of Our Lives viewers can imagine that Brady will feel sad that she has passed on, even though she later betrayed him and caused a rift between the two of them.

Brady will still sympathize with Maggie’s loss, and Chloe will show compassion to Brady and Maggie as well. But Maggie will not only receive support and compassion, she will give it – to her longtime friend and family member Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes). Longtime Days of Our Lives viewers will remember that Julie was Maggie’s niece by marriage during the time she was married to Mickey Horton (last played by John Ingle). Julie has been through the wringer lately with the issues that her husband Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) has been experiencing.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – What About Sarah Horton – Has Maggie Horton Heard From Her?

Days of Our Lives viewers have to be wondering if Maggie’s return might bring Sarah Horton’s (last played by Linsey Godfrey) disappearance back into the limelight. Days of Our Lives viewers will recall that the last time Sarah was seen, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) had shipped her off to a Greek island in a steamer trunk!

Kristen impersonated Sarah with one of those rubber masks invented by Dr. Wilhelm Rolf, (William Utay) stood up Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) on their wedding night, sending him into a tailspin, and supposedly ran off with Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder). But she dumped him too, and nothing has been heard of the Sarah story since Rex returned to Chicago! Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem revealed Kristen’s been on the run in Europe, and escaped the ISA in the process.

Has Maggie even heard from Sarah, or has someone been texting her pretending to be Sarah – it didn’t look like Kristen was! Rex, too is supposed to return to Salem sometime in the fall or winter, and perhaps then the Sarah story will pick up!
