Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that the devil isn’t the only one returning to Salem this fall. Ine such face should delight viewers who have been watching a long time. It may just be the time for Celeste Perrault (Tanya Boyd) to make her long-awaited return to Salem. Celeste hasn’t had much of a reason to return until now, but her former son-in-law, Abe Carver’s (James Reynolds) marriage to Paulina Price (Jackee Harry) may exactly the reason she needs.

For many years, Abe was married to Lexie Carver (Renee Jones), Celeste’s daughter by Stefano DiMera (the late Joe Mascolo). So when news reaches Celeste that Abe is remarrying, she may just want to check things out for herself.

Paulina is nothing like Lexie, and Celeste may question Abe’s choice in women, especially when she finds out about all the secrets that Paulina has kept. Ultimately, Celeste will want Abe to be happy so she will give the upcoming marriage her blessing. But Celeste has other connections in Salem.

A visit to Salem will give Celeste a chance to catch up with her old friend, Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans). Bonnie and Celeste always enjoyed each other’s company, when they weren’t running from the Salem Stalker, that is!

Bonnie has changed quite a bit since those days, and Celeste may be quite shocked that Bonnie is about to marry Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth). Celeste will want to see for herself that Bonnie is now on the straight and narrow. But there may be yet another reason for Celeste to return. And that ties in to the possession of Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). Again.

The first time Marlena was possessed, Celeste was there to help free Marlena. It wouldn’t be a surprise at all if she lends a helping hand once again. Celeste is a psychic and her visions have helped the residents of Salem time and time again. Even if it goes against her better nature, Celeste might just find herself involved once again since Marlena is about to be possessed yet again.
