Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that the devil tried to force Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) to invite him back in by torturing Doug Williams (Bill Hayes). When that doesn’t work, the devil isn’t going to give up. There are hints that the devil will jump from body to body in an attempt to force Marlena’s hand. Who are the next Salemites to become possessed?

The Devil’s Ultimate Goal

DOOL spoilers reveal that the devil has come back to Salem and showed itself to Marlena. Salem’s favorite psychiatrist was horrified to discover that the devil had possessed Doug’s body. Marlena demanded the devil to leave Doug, but he refused. Marlena even tried to beg the devil to leave Doug alone. However, her efforts were futile as the devil wants one thing and that is to repossess Marlena’s body.

DOOL Spoilers: Marlena Evans Refuses

Marlena refused to give into the devil’s demands. When the devil became tormenting Doug physically, Marlena didn’t know what to do. Marlena knows all about the terrible things that happened the last time she was possessed. The psychiatrist certainly doesn’t want to do that again. It is suggested that Marlena might still refuse the devil’s demand despite Doug being hospitalized.

Widespread Possession

Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest that the devil might try to force Marlena’s hand. He could do this by going from body to body of everyone Marlena cares about. There have been clues of this during recent episodes.

For example, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) was told by Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) that Philip Kiriakis’ (Jay Kenneth Johnson) jealousy was making him act “possessed.” In Soap Opera Digest, Lindsay Arnold (Allie Horton) said that Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) would “taunt” the devil with his movie.

Then, we have Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) who is considering playing a possessed Marlena in Johnny’s movie. It is teased that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) will be horrified and the decision could rip “Chabby” apart.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Giving In and Giving Up

If the devil does start jumping into multiple bodies of the people Marlena cares about, then she could decide that she doesn’t have any choice. It’s hard to perform an exorcism when the devil won’t stay in one body. It will almost be like a sickness that spreads through Salem. For those that don’t believe in the devil, they might think it’s a new virus or bacteria that is affecting people’s behavior. So, it should make for some interesting storylines coming up!
