Days of Our Lives (DOOL) Spoilers: Gwen’s Desperation and Depression, Emily O’Brien On Miscarriage Guilt

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) had a miscarriage before she saw Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) the day of her fall. However, Gwen blamed Abigail, who had to face the horrified looks on the faces of her loved ones. The manipulator plans on telling her father the truth. The actress explained Gwen’s guilt and confessing the truth.

Sibling Rivalry on Steroids

DOOL spoilers reveal that there probably hasn’t been a sibling rivalry as heated and volatile as Jack Deveraux’s (Matthew Ashford) two daughters. Gwen got a drug from Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) that he promised would “melt Abigail’s brain.” However, it just made her hallucinate and eventually, she recovered.

Then, Abigail tried to torture Gwen as vengeance for Dr. Laura Horton’s (Jaime Lyn Bauer) death. Abigail was going to inject her half-sister with the same drug that was given to her. However, it was going too far even by Gabi Hernandez’s (Camila Banus) standards.

Gwen used her bad childhood and poverty-stricken life to blame Abigail. In Gwen’s mind, Abigail had the perfect life with the perfect father and the whole family lived together in a perfect house. However, nobody’s life is perfect and Jack wasn’t even around for a lot of Abigail’s life. He was declared dead for eight years, then had amnesia and was a jerk until his memories returned.

DOOL Spoilers: Mom Goals

Gwen never intended to get pregnant when she slept with Abigail’s husband, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn). However, when she accepted the pregnancy, Gwen wanted to keep the baby. She was going to move out of Salem and raise her child, even if she had to do it on her own. Gwen decided she no longer needed Jack’s love as she would create her own family with the baby.

Blaming Abigail DiMera

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Gwen had a miscarriage. Later that day, Gwen went to the DiMera mansion to speak with Chad. However, she ended up running into Abigail, who clearly wanted to fight. As they argued on the staircase, Gwen fell backward and lost consciousness on the floor down below. When Abigail was transported to the hospital, people just assumed that Abigail was responsible for the miscarriage. In Gwen’s eyes, it was perfect as she blamed Abigail, too.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Desperation and Depression

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest, O’Brien explained that Gwen blaming Abigail for the miscarriage wasn’t done out of hatred. Instead, Gwen was desperate and depressed. She wanted to blame someone for the miscarriage and Abigail was the easiest person for that.

“She regrets it [lying about miscarriage] but I think she was in such a state of turmoil and desperation and depression that she just needed to put blame on something to feel better even though she knew how horrible the lie was.”

Gwen feels guilty about lying to Jack for so long about her miscarriage. Now she needs to be honest to help make things better for Xander Cook (Paul Telfer). However, it is teased that Gwen’s attempt to right a wrong will lead to the schemer finding herself in even bigger trouble than before.
