Days Of Our Lives Alum Precious Way Lands Gig on New Series

Days Of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease that Precious Way, who portrayed the role of Chanel Dupree on the daytime drama show, joined the cast of Queens. The actress and rapper shared the good news on her Instagram account.

The actress is truly grateful for being a part of the show, which is set to premiere on October 19. On the same post, Way also shared a Bible verse, Psalm 37:4, which says “Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”

Way Exits Days Of Our Lives

Way joined Days Of Our Lives as Chanel Dupree, the daughter of Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) back in 2001. Her character created ruckus when she first arrived in Salem. The actress’s final episode on the soap was aired on July 5, and her alter ego is now being portrayed by Raven Bowens.

Back in June, the actress shared an emotional post on Instagram. She uploaded a photo of her grinning happily with some of the cast of DOOL. She revealed that Chanel was her first TV role and she’ll surely miss everyone. She expressed her gratitude for having the opportunity to be part of the soap and thanked everyone for everything.

There was no official announcement as to the reason behind Way’s departure. However, prior to her exit, it was revealed that she booked a role in the TV series titled Partners in Rhyme where she’ll star alongside MC Leyte. The show is slated to premiere on ALLBLK, AMC Network’s streaming channel, this coming November.

Queens: ABC’s New Musical Drama

Queens is a musical drama that features Eve, Brandy, Naturi Naughton, and Nadine Velasquez. Eve plays the role of Brianna, Brandy as Naomi, Velasquez as Valeria, and Naughton as Jill. It follows the story of women in their 40s, formerly part of a ‘90s hip-hop group called Nasty B–ches, as they try to revive their careers and break free from their dull and boring life.

In a previous interview during the show’s TCA panel, Eve shared that they’ve lived the lives of their alter egos. They hope to bring their viewers back to the ‘90s once they listen to their music and see their outfits. “It’s all about authenticity,” Eve said.
