90 Day Fiancé Fans Slam Paola Over Rumored Split From Russ

90 Day Fiancé Fans Slam Paola Over Rumored Split From RussRumors are flying that 90 Day Fiancé stars Paola and Russ Mayfield are heading for divorce. Since the rumors started doing the rounds, fans of the TLC reality show are blaming both parties for not making their marriage work.

Are 90 Day Fiancé stars Paola and Russ Mayfield heading for divorce?

90 Day Fiancé stars Paola and Russ, both 32, met when he traveled to Colombia for work a decade ago, while employed in the oil industry. The couple soon fell in love and Paola moved from her home in Bucaramanga to Russ’s home in Miami. They were married in October 2013. Paola wanted to start a modeling career in the US and also pursued fitness training. However, their relationship wasn’t always a happy one.

Paola and Russ welcomed baby Axel in 2019, after she suffered a devastating miscarriage. This appeared to make them a happy family of three and their problems seemed to be in the past.

While Russ tends to refer to Paola as “my first, my last, my everything,” as per the famous Barry White song, they have had a lot of problems in their relationship. At first they were living with Russ’s parents and Paola couldn’t get along with their old-fashioned ideas. They did eventually move into their own apartment, but still didn’t seem that happy. Despite this, their Instagram posts mostly made it look like everything was coming up roses.

How did the rumors start?

The rumors about the 90 Day Fiancé season 1 couple were started by a series of cryptic messages by Paola. These have led to Instagram users attacking the 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? couple over the possible divorce, with many saying both parties are equally to blame.

In late July, Paola wrote that it was time to “move on and accept that it wasn’t meant to be for the long run.” However, it is a new cryptic tweet that is causing backlash from 90 Day Fiancé fans. The post was shared by IG user fappywetsock. That Instagram user had sent a tweet, saying Russ had quit a fantastic job because Paola didn’t want him travelling. He became a stay-at-home dad, relocated away from his family and friends, sold his house, and moved into a trailer. They wrote, “Fam, stop giving to those that just take. They will never give back & always expect more.”

Paola was quick to comment on the post, writing, “People asked me why I don’t take pictures with my husband, and my answer is… I just don’t like to pretend.” She wrote, “Part of the reason why relationships end is that we get caught up in other things, forget to appreciate one another, and sadly, marriage isn’t a priority anymore.” This statement is what truly stoked the divorce rumors.

Fans were also quick to slam Paola on the post, with many believing she is now single again. One wrote, “Maybe she’s just trying to get on another season by creating drama?” Meanwhile, others expressed their surprise that the couple had lasted for seven, almost eight, years. This is especially so due to their incompatibility, which was clear from the start of the TLC reality show.

However, other 90 Day Fiancé fans were surprised, as the couple’s social media seems to show a happy pair. One reminded of a video of Paola and Russ making out that went viral last month. The clip is still on Paola’s Instagram feed, with the hashtag #nationalkissingday, and shows the couple passionately kissing.

Many noted that Russ hasn’t any made comment of a possible split and has stayed quiet all along. In the past, fans have accused him of choosing looks (and maybe passion) over compatibility, hinting that he could also be responsible for the failure of their marriage.
