Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Theo Heads Back To South Africa…With Claire

Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson) now knows he doesn’t have a future with Ciara (Victoria Konefal), especially after he found her in bed with Ben. She has her memory back and he should have always known that was going to happen and he’d lose her.

Claire (Isabel Durant) is more than thrilled about this because she wanted Ben and Ciara together and went as far as getting arrested to make it happen. But she also once loved Theo and is there for him to pick up the pieces. And then guess what? They decide they have always been in love and Theo asks Claire to return to South Africa with him. Having absolutely nothing to do in Salem except be a busybody in people’s lives, she agrees to this happily ever after…for now.

Why Couldn’t Claire Brady Have A Story?

Durant was cast in 2019 after replacing Olivia Rose Keegan in the world. Claire was cured and reformed and ready to be a friend for Ciara after setting her on fire and spending time in a mental institution.

She had an ill-fated romance with Charlie Dale (Mike Manning), who turned out to be a rapist, and has done nothing but be a shoulder for Ben to lean on ever since. Apparently, DAYS didn’t see much story for her, as per Head Writer Ron Carlivati who mused about one day bringing her back.

In the August 24, 2021, issue of Soap Opera Digest, he said the following: “She’s a great actress, so we’ll see,” he said. “I love Isabel. She was my first choice for the recast of Claire. I thought she did a fantastic job and really stepped up in the role,” he said. “She did an amazing job but her story came to a natural conclusion and that’s the only reason we wrote her out. I would love to work with her in the future at some point if it ever came to be.”
