Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers suggest that Days executives have hired a new Sonny Kiriakis. Last week Freddie Smith announced that he would not return to the show and the role of Sonny. As a prominent member of the Kiriakis family, Sonny is needed from time to time for storylines. Zack Tinker (formerly Fenmore Baldwin) has been cast in the role.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Some Days Stars Were Let Go Due To The Pandemic

Days of Our Lives usually tapes months ahead and was the only soap opera to have episodes to last throughout the shutdown in Hollywood last year. However, several stars were let go or asked to take months off because of all the pandemic issues. Will Horton (Chandler Massey) and Sonny were two of those characters that left town because of this. Will and Sonny had just come off a huge story that occurred during the time jump.

However, instead of carrying through with their reunion story, Will and Sonny left town. Since his hiatus, Smith has gotten married and moved to Florida. Smith admits that if he had been asked to take a break for a while and return, he would have. However, now, Smith says he cannot keep one foot in the present and one in the past. Smith feels that it is time to make a clean break and has decided to stick with that decision.

Will And Sonny Return For Peacock’s Beyond Salem

Days of Our Lives writers have decided to bring Will and Sonny into the new spinoff, Beyond Salem. Chad Dimera (Billy Flynn) is set to visit his old friends in Phoenix, Arizona. With Smith not coming back, Zack has stepped into the role. The series premiere date hasn’t been announced yet but Sonny couldn’t be written out of the Arizona scenes so he has been recast. Tinker is best known for his role as Fenmore Baldwin, son of Michael Baldwin and Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman). However, some fans feel that the actor was underused there.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Zack Tinker Brings His Own Spin To Sonny

Days of Our Lives Tinker will certainly add his own spend on the character of Sonny. As usual, a few changes take place. However, Sonny and Will are expected to be the normal loving company that fans love. Will Chad look up Will and Sonny in his bid to reunite with his wife Abby Dimera (Marci Miller)? Can Chad’s wife forgive him for cheating on her with her sister?

Sonny and Will are both a part of prominent Salem families. Hopefully, the duo will return to Salem soon.
