Little People, Big World Zach Roloff Took Son on an “Epic Road Trip”
Zach Roloff and wife Tori Roloff have been busy lately with the farm, raising their two kids and of course, the family’s reality TV show, so a road trip for themselves and their children is a welcome surprise.
The proud dad-of-two took his eldest child Jackson, famously nicknamed Baby J, on an adventure road trip to California. Jackson, 4, recently started school earlier this year, so it’s a milestone year for him.
Zach and Jackson had a cute father-son moment during the trip, and on Thursday, the 31-year-old Little People, Big World star shared pictures documenting the trip on Instagram.
Zach Roloff Proudly Proclaims that Son Jackson is “Not Like Many Four-year-olds”
Zach bonded with his young son over a road trip to visit Jackson’s great-grandparents.
“Jackson and I recently had an epic road trip adventure and decided to finally post about it,” the reality star captioned the cute pics he and Jackson took during the trip. “We road tripped down to Grass Valley CA for a quick visit with my grandparents, Jackson’s great grandparents.”
The pics showed the pair having a good time on the road, with a couple of pics taken with Zach’s grandparents. “Drove down on Friday, came back on Sunday and slept in the car both ways. Not many 4 year olds can rally like that but Jackson’s not like many 4 year olds.. this trip proved that again. We made an epic detour coming back and found a cool active fire tower with Fireman Bob reporting the fires on Mt Shasta and in the area.”
“I love road trips and small towns, takes me back to what seems like simpler times,” Zach concluded.
His wife Tori, with whom he shares Jackson and Lilah, commented on the post, writing, “Best dad ever.”
“Sounds like a great time,” Zach’s mom Amy Roloff enthused, adding: “Awesome memories.”
Zach and Tori on Jackson’s Bowing Legs
In the latest season of LPBW, Zach and Tori discussed the possibilities of Jackson needing surgery in the near future to correct his legs. Tori wants to keep an open mind for other options, but she’s recognizing that Jackson may need it very soon. (Both Jackson and Lilah inherited achondroplasia – the most common form of dwarfism – from their father’s side).
“The doctor says his legs are an issue but it’s not an emergency,” Zach revealed earlier this season. “It’s kind of deep down what I think I expected, it’s all about deciding when, where and what the best surgery is. It’s the beginning, I think, of a long journey.”
“Hearing that Jackson’s going to need surgery, that was heavy and that’s going to be scary when that day is here,” Tori added.
