Harry recently spoke with TV Insider about Paulina’s explosive secret. She tried to explain her side of the story to Abe. Her excuses didn’t seem to add up or explain her deception, though. Well, it turns out that’s because there’s another part of the story that she hasn’t revealed yet.

She kept the truth from her friends and family in order to get the tax breaks and rezoning approval. However, it’s hard to believe that money would be worth losing everyone in her life, including her own daughter.

When Paulina first came to Salem, it was because she heard the twins were kidnapped. By the time she got there, they were already rescued. Plus, we’ve heard how Paulina was pretty active in Lani’s life. She even went to several family events and parties. This suggests that family is important to Paulina, which makes her betrayal make even less sense.

Abe suggested she was so desperate for money that she risked everything. Then, he asked if she was broke. She denied it, but the look on her face indicated otherwise.
