Days of our Lives (DOOL) Spoilers: Greg Vaughn Opens Up About Reprising His Role as Eric Brady

Days of our Lives (DOOL) spoilers and updates tease that Greg Vaughn’s short return to Salem as Eric Brady will cause storylines to “go in different directions.” Fans have been wanting to see Eric back on the canvas and his most awaited return will surely shake things up.

Eric Finds Out About Nicole’s Betrayal

Viewers saw Eric return to Salem to celebrate his one-year wedding anniversary with Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker). It was a milestone that was worth celebrating. But what was supposed to be a happy day turned into chaos. It was revealed on their special day that Nicole slept with Xander Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) while Eric was in Africa. This revelation, Vaughn said, will force Eric to leave Salem again.

“[Eric] is just grabbing hold of his nearest and dearest and his heart and soul and not letting go. He is just trying to hold on as long as he can until he has to return, knowing his visit is short,” Vaughn hinted.

He noted that “it’s the quality of time that’s important” not the quantity of time.

“You come to town, you want to see everyone that’s important in your life, and I think he accomplishes that. Unfortunately he becomes aware of something unexpected, which drives a wedge,” the actor added.

Even though it’ll only be a brief return, Vaughn said that it was crucial for his character to come back. He explained that Eric had to go back to Salem to help “reshape” the storylines that were developed while he was away and to also move them in new directions.

Nobody knows if Vaughn will return to reprise his role once Eric leaves Salem again. The soap hasn’t mentioned if his absence will be for good or only temporary. Regardless, Vaughn is thankful to be part of the soap. He also added that he’ll return in a heartbeat if asked.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers

Spoilers for the week of July 19 to 23 hint that Xander will earn a well-deserved punch from Eric after he tells party guests that the latter’s wife can’t get enough of him. Meanwhile, Nicole will be furious with Sami, whom she believes had a hand at ruining her marriage, and promises to get revenge.

Elsewhere, Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) will stop Ciara from tying the knot with Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson). He’ll come up with a plan and he’ll be needing the help of Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) and Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold).
