Prince Harry and Meghan Canceled, Fail To Make Good on Spotify and Netflix Deals?
British royal family news teases that a whole lot of work may not be getting done while Harry and Meghan take up to “20 weeks” off “work” in the next few months.
Remember that lavish, VIP, win-win millionaire deal between the Sussex’s and Netflix and Spotify? You can bet these companies do because they have taken a back seat to The Ginge and Whinge Show.
Where is all the “impactful” life changing content the Markle’s boasted they would supply to the world via their partner Netflix? So far they have done nothing impactful that the commoners know about anyway. For Spotify, they did one quick and giggly preview of what they have to offer podcast listeners, at least those who tuned in.
Where Are The Markle’s These Days?
The couple signed a reported $25 million deal with the platform to supply material, “that uplifts and entertains audiences around the world.” Zero uplifting so far. And if they make good on their promise to disappear for the next five months, they will have little time in 2021 tin which to inspire the masses.
To date they have made a whopping three-minute trailer and dropped a curious 34-minute Christmas Special. Were execs twisting their arms then and why aren’t they now? It must be nice to be the millionaire Markle’s in their mansion on the hill, getting paid to do nothing. Where can the rest of us sign up for that deal Netflix and Spotify?
When Will Harry and Meghan Get Back to Work?
The couple are currently on parental leave after the birth of their daughter Lilibet two weeks ago. This has led to speculation that expecting any work out of them is a laughable proposition—one that’s probably not very funny to the many organizations who have “hired” them to actually do something in exchange for ridiculously high salaries.
Royal author Phil Dampier told The Sun, “We’re being told they’re having up to five months off and people who are paying them a lot of money will expect something in return.”
“They seem to be using up a lot of ammunition very early and putting a lot of stuff out there in terms of deals and agreements with lots of firms,” he continued. “The question might be asked whether they have too much on their plate.”
They don’t have too much on their plates to spend a lot of time trash talking his and her families to Oprah Winfrey among others. Maybe all that mud wrestling and defamatory dagger slinging has led them to the point of exhaustion?
