Chrissy Teigen Is Back On Twitter After Quitting In March
Three weeks after announcing she was quitting Twitter for good Chrissy Teigen is back on the platform.
The queen of Twitter is back on the platform and looking forward to sharing her random thoughts with followers
On Friday morning, Teigen who had said she was leaving the social platform for good back in March tweeted,“Turns out it feels TERRIBLE to silence yourself and also no longer enjoy belly chuckles randomly throughout the day and also lose like 2000 friends at once lol,” adding, “I choose to take the bad with the good!!”
The 35-year-old author and former Sports Illustrated cover girl went onto to joke that she had no one to share her random thoughts with saying “ she spent weeks just saying tweets to shampoo bottles.”
Teigen’s followers seemed to have missed her just as much she missed interacting with them
Many of her 1.5 million followers welcomed her back warmly, some saying how much they missed her. One netizen said, “It also turns out it feels terrible to miss a ‘celebrity’ that you don’t know, but you feel like you know as a friend, cause this whole thing is weird. I’m happy to see you here again,” with another adding, “I’ve missed you more than the character limit allows me to say, Chrissy. Twitter has been black and white since you took your color away…and as long as it’s healthy for you and yours, please stay and brighten our day, as we try to brighten yours.”
Earlier, Teigen who was always very active and outspoken on Twitter had announced that she was leaving the platform to her then 14 million followers, writing, “My desire to be liked and fear of pissing people off has made me somebody you didn’t sign up for, and a different human than I started out here as!” This came after she had also asked asked President Biden to unfollow her on Twitter so she could “flourish” back in February.
The former model and “Cravings” author has had a lot of ups and downs in her personal life in recent months
Teigen has had a tough few months in her life, having suffered a pregnancy loss in October 2020. She had opened up about how she and husband John Legend whom she shares 5-year-old daughter Luna and 2-year-old son Miles with were “quiet but … okay,” after the loss.
In December, the model who had previously very candid about her struggles with alcohol abuse also announced that she was four weeks sober.
