Days of Our Lives (DOOL) Spoilers and Rumors: Dan Feuerriegel New EJ DiMera?

Days of our Lives (DOOL) spoilers and remorse tease that at least one daytime outlet is reporting the news that the role of EJ DiMera has finally been recast.

According to Daytime Confidential, Dan Feuerriegel has been hired to replace James Scott in the role of one of the many, many spawn of the late Stefano DiMera (the late Joseph Mascolo).

According to the site, the actor will debut in the coveted role on the Salem based sudser this summer.

Feuerriegel will be a familiar face to fans of Spartacus. The handsome and talented actor is known for his role as Agron in the Starz franchise. To date he has appeared in Spartacus: Blood and Sand, Spartacus: Vengeance and Spartacus: War of the Damned.

EJ, aka Elvis Junior, is the son of Stefano and Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk). Susan is currently on the canvas and she will be thrilled that her son is coming home.

EJ was presumed dead after he was murdered years ago by Clyde Weston’s (James Read) minions.

Is EJ making a summer comeback?

His loving wife Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) saw EJ’s body in the morgue but later it was revealed that his sister Kristen gave him one of the incredible Dr. Rolf’s (William Utay) back from the dead injections.

EJ was subsequently injured in an explosion and he has been recuperating offscreen with Sami and their kids.

What will EJ return to when he comes back to Horton Square? For one his wife is on the hook for murder but maybe that will be resolved if the speculation is true and the character returns in the form of Feuerriegel this summer.

At the same time there is DiMera Enterprises and all of its eternal drama. EJ is a rightful heir to the business and he likely will want to fix whatever mess the company is in when he returns.

EJ DiMera was last portrayed by James Scott. The character was rapidly aged in 2006 when Scott took over the role. Since his departure in October 2014 Scott has been extremely vocal about a possible return.

Fans have never stopped clamoring for the character to come back, and he has vociferously rejected the notion that he would ever return to the role. Stay tuned fans, it’s about to get interesting in Salem!
