Despite not knowing each other — and Allie being falling-down drunk — Tripp just knew she was special. Nearly a year later and the two would meet again, but all the way in Salem, where they both had family. Then things got complicated when she accused Tripp of raping her that fateful night in London. Even though it was quite a harrowing ordeal for both of them, there is a mutual romantic interest. After everything that Allie put him through hasn’t affected his romantic interest.

Eventually, the truth came out about Charlie Dale (Mike Manning) being the real rapist. After Tripp was cleared, he spent a little bit of time getting to know Allie. He also got the opportunity to be introduced to Allie’s baby, who is also Tripp’s nephew. Not only did the two Salemites feel a bit of a spark, but Tripp and Henry Horton (Jayna and Kinsley Fox) bonded. The aspiring doctor decided that he wanted to do something to help the mother and son. It was teased at that time that Tripp might end up not just being the baby’s uncle, but a possible father figure.

New Love Triangle Rivalry Confirmed

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Tripp is being careful about pursuing Allie or telling her how he feels. He knows the rape was traumatic for her, but she went through so much afterward. So, he is taking his time and trying to read Allie. He doesn’t want to bring up romance unless he is 100 percent sure that she is ready. That day will arrive in spring 2021 but as with all soap storylines, it can never be simple. According to the new issue of Soap Opera Digest, Tripp and Allie will already start to have some warm and fuzzy moments. Then Tripp learns that he is not the only man who is interested in Allie.

The identity of the third party in the love triangle has not been revealed. We are thinking it is probably someone already on the canvas. However, it’s also possible that we will meet another brand new character soon. There has been talk in soap forums that there are more new characters arriving. However, that has not been confirmed, so take it with a grain of salt.

Fans Divided Over Rape-To-Romance Story

As for who Allie will choose, some fans are rooting for Tripp. After all, he was exceptionally forgiving of her rape allegation. He even “understood” when she nearly shot off his precious family jewels! He doesn’t hold any of it against Allie. Depending on how you look at it, it either makes him perfect boyfriend material or too good to be true. On the other hand, some viewers are not okay with Allie’s love interest being the same man she accused of rape. Even though Tripp wasn’t the rapist, some feel it sends mixed messages. Others say it’s too weird, especially when Allie’s initial memories featured Tripp’s face before she was assaulted.
