Days of Our Lives (DOOL) comings and goings reveal that Cameron Johnson is returning as Theo Carver. The last time the character came back to Salem, he told Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) that he was seeing someone back in Africa. However, could he end up falling in love with Paulina Price’s (Jackée Harry) daughter, Chanel Price (Precious Way)?

Cameron Johnson Replaces Kyler Pettis

DOOL comings and goings reveal that fans adored Pettis as Theo Carver. When the actor left the NBC soap, viewers hoped that he would come back. The opportunity did arise last year. However, when Pettis was asked to come back, he declined. So, the search began for a replacement. Last November, we saw Cameron Johnson as the new Theo.

Claire misread signals from Theo and kissed her ex-boyfriend. He let her down gently and told her he was seeing someone back in Africa. It’s unclear if Theo is still with this girl or not. However, we will find out during the week of March 8.

Theo Carver Returns, But For How Long?

Days of Our Lives comings and goings don’t say how long Theo will be in Salem this time. It’s interesting that he’s coming at the time of Charlie Dale’s (Mike Manning) murder investigation. One of the people that Charlie hurt was Claire, who used to date Theo. The two also grew up together and were close, along with Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal).

Theo isn’t the only one returning during the murder investigation. Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) will also be coming back that same week and we saw Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) shoot into Salem.

Days Of Our Lives Comings And Goings: Chanel Price’s Love Story?

Paulina will be making her debut on March 1. Her daughter will be coming to Salem later, but it shouldn’t be too long of a wait. It’s possible that Theo and Chanel will have an instant connection and fall in love. If that ends up happening, then Theo would have a reason to come back to his hometown. We know that Abe Carver (James Reynolds) would certainly like that. It must be difficult for Abe to be so far from his son.

It would be really nice to expand the 20-somethings in Salem, too. In the 90s, we had the teen scene, which included Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson), Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin), Shawn Brady (now played by Brandon Beemer), Belle Black (now played by Martha Madison), and others. It was a nice-sized group that gave writers a lot of pairing possibilities and well as a variety of storylines. Right now, it’s just Claire, Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold), and Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams). That age group definitely needs to grow a little bit.
