DOOL spoilers reveal that Martsolf posted a message on his official Facebook page. It was a heartfelt tribute to his mother, who passed away. He called her the most original mixture of “beauty and toughness.” The actor recalls how fierce she was in both love and life. He also talked about those funny moments that he’ll always remember.
“Heaven was fortunate today to have received this angel. My Mom was the most original mixture of beauty and toughness I’ve ever known. She lived and loved fiercely, and the family unit was always to be treasured and never abandoned. Any room was better with her in it, and her storytelling style riveted the toughest of crowds.
I will miss the perplexed look on the many waiters’ faces when asking for a large glass of ice to accompany your Chardonnay, and I will greatly miss the outlandish, and sometimes admittedly inappropriate, laughter that we extracted from any situation. The Harrisburg, Pennsylvania native graduated from Dickinson College, located in Carlisle. He earned a BA in Political Science with honors emphasizing in mass media politics, as well as constitutional law. When he wasn’t going to school or studying, Martsolf was busy performing in operas, musicals, choirs, barbershop quartets, and was a member of “Harrisburg’s Best New Band.” One day, he had to make a choice as to what he was going to do with his career. Even though entertainment was unstable, he decided to take that route and hasn’t regretted it.
On October 10, 2003, Martsolf married dance choreographer Lisa Kouchak. The couple have fraternal twins: Chase and Mason.
