Little People, Big World Spoilers: Is LPBW Canceled? How Jacob Roloff’s Abuse Scandal Affects TLC Show
Little People, Big World spoilers reveal that Jacob Roloff recently came forward alleging that a producer of the reality show abused him for years. The youngest of Matt Roloff and Amy Roloff’s children and now an adult, how will this affect the TLC reality show? Will the network cancel LPBW after 22 seasons? Or will the show continue to go on?
TLC Show Survived Many Changes
LPBW spoilers reveal that the long-running reality show has been airing on TLC for many years. Last year marked season 22 and while the show has remained on the air, many things have changed for the family. Matt and Amy are divorced and each with new partners. Amy is planning her wedding and the children are grown and there are even grandchildren now. Some cast members left the show, which was the case with Jacob in 2016.
Little People, Big World Spoilers: Jacob Roloff’s Abuse Allegations
On Instagram, Jacob addressed the abuse allegations. He came forward saying that he was abused by a producer of the show for years. He wrote,
“It is often much easier to think about things than it is to talk about them, and so this disclosure has been delayed, but through that delay, I have found the fortitude and words. As a child, after what I realize now was a long grooming process, I was molested by an executive field producer for Little People, Big World.”
Is Little People, Big World Canceled?
Many fans are wondering if Jacob’s abuse allegations will force TLC to cancel the show. However, it appears that filming is still ongoing. In November 2020, Amy posted to her Instagram Stories that she was already filming. She also talked about the COVID-19 testing and safety guidelines. Even though this announcement was made before Jacob came out with his allegations, there are more recent posts from Amy. In January 2021, she mentioned filming LPBW.
“A little filming today for LPBW and it was a great day to take Felix for a walk at a local park. We’re on the hunt to find some parks and/or local open scenery areas to take Felix walking and on a hike with us. Getting out when we can and it feels good.”
While the network has not canceled the show as of yet, that doesn’t mean they aren’t taking Jacob’s allegations seriously. TLC has either already conducted or is in the middle of its own investigation. It is assumed that they would take the proper precaution of removing the accused producer until the investigation is complete… if that crew member is even still with LPBW.
When Will New Season Premiere On TLC?
Last year, the show kicked off a new season in October. While productions tend to follow the same schedules year to year, COVID-19 has changed that. We do expect to see new episodes featuring the Roloff family in fall 2021. However, it might be a little later than October due to COVID-19 measures slowing production. We will keep you posted with any updates.
