Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) never sent money. It was Laura, who paid Gwen’s mother to leave the country. She was trying to protect Jack and Jennifer Horton (Cady McClain).

Days Of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Laura is coming to Salem and it’s for an important reason. She has heard all about the drama with Gwen, who has targeted Abigail. She was so thirsty for revenge that she even slept with Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn). At one point, she even slipped Abigail a drug that was supposed to “melt her brain.” So, it didn’t make Gwen too pleased when Abigail returned from Florida hallucination-free and with her brain back to normal.

Laura is coming to town and will reveal a huge secret she has been keeping for many years. Of course, it revolves around Gwen. It is likely that Gwen’s mother never received any money from Jack. The money that Gwen’s mother received was probably from Laura, who also paid for them to move out of the country.

Everything about Gwen’s story is a complete shock to Days Of Our Lives cast member Jack and apparently, he knew nothing of Laura’s deed either. In fact, it is stated by Buzzworthy Radiocast that during the week of February 1, Jack will be furious that he is once again the last to know things that directly affect him. So, this sounds like Laura kept Gwen’s existence a secret, along with her plan to quietly get rid of the “threat.” Even after Jack’s children were all grown up, Laura never once thought to tell him he had another child out there?

Days Of Our Lives spoilers reveal that these days, something like this wouldn’t make people bat an eyelash. However, back when Gwen was little (we are assuming she’s around 30), scandals could easily ruin marriages, careers, and someone’s reputation for the rest of their life. Plus, Gwen mentioned that her mother was a drug user. So, it’s possible that Gwen’s mother threatened to use baby Gwen to ruin Jack’s life.

Back then, a lot of parents and grandparents did things that were cruel, but justified as necessary to protect the family’s image. She might have even known that Gwen’s mother died and the child was an orphan. She probably thought that the danger to Jennifer’s happiness was over and nobody would know the truth.

We know that Gwen’s story is going to have certain truths to them, so Jack will agree to take a paternity test. However, is everything Gwen said what really happened? Is her story really that sad or is part of it made up to gain sympathy? Once she finds out that Laura never told anyone that a baby existed, can Gwen really still hold on to the hatred she has toad Jack and Abigail?
